Jayson Watkins joined Brown & Watkins LLC in 2010. Mr. Watkins graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2000 with a major in Education and a minor in Political Science.

Mr. Watkins taught for seven years in public high schools prior to attending Washburn University School of Law. While attending law school Mr. Watkins served as an editor on the Family Law Quarterly as well as Vice President of the Moot Court Council and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. Mr. Watkins graduated Law School in 2008. Following law school Mr. Watkins joined the Prosecutor’s Office of Clinton County and successfully prosecuted numerous cases to successful end. Additionally, Mr. Watkins position as a prosecutor provided ample opportunities for court time and motion practice. In addition to prosecutorial duties Mr. Watkins handled various employment matters ranging from discrimination lawsuits to FLSA collective actions. For the last eight years Mr. Watkins has worked at Brown & Watkins dealing with employment matters and more specifically FLSA collective action cases and FCRA class actions. Mr. Watkins is currently litigating or assisting in multiple FCRA class actions. Counsel is a member of the National Association for Consumer Advocates and also a member of the Kansas City chapter of the National Employment Attorneys Association. Mr. Watkins was named a Rising Star for Missouri and Kansas by Super Lawyers in 2016 through 2018. Mr. Watkins is a native of the Kansas City area.
